GO RAIDERS !!!!

We had Zoe's one month appointment and thing went well she is getting so big she wights 10lb and she is 22 in long. she is a big girl almost to the top of the growth charts. she is 83% on her weight, 94% on her length and 58% on her head growth. I posted some pictures that we took when she was one month.

Zoe's first bath

I wanted to update everyone with some new pictures of Zoe, so that you can see how much she has changed just over in a few weeks. Things have been going good with both Zoe and I, she is eating all the time and I am enjoying the time that I get to spend with her and the kids for this sort time that I am off work. I wanted to tell everyone thank you for all the gifts that you have sent for Zoe we really appreciate it, it have helped out a lot.

Zoe is home.

Zoe Leilani Asay has arrived. Zoe was born August 19,2009 at 2035 MST. She weighed in at 8lbs 10oz and stands at 19½”. Stephanie started going into labor early that morning and we arrived at Mercy West Hospital at 0600. By 0800 she was admitted and given an epidural; which is a good thing because the contractions were really starting to hurt. Stephanie’s water broke around 1030, or so we thought. After being in labor for about 12 hours the doctor checked her cervix and found that there was still a bag of water keeping Zoe from moving down. After the Dr. broke that bag it was only a few more hours until Stephanie was ready to push. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers and I hope you can all meet Zoe soon.

Here are some new pictures that we got done last week. We had a stressful week, we went into the Dr’s on Monday and they said they thought they saw an 8 cm placenta abruption so, they send us to see a specialist on Tuesday and got more pictures done of the baby the 4D ones, and they did not find anything. The baby is measuring big she is above the 50% and she is very long and is healthy. They were also saying that I was measuring a week bigger then I am, they still are not moving up the do day but, she is going to be a big baby.

It's a Girl

Today we found out the sex of the newest addition to the Asay family. It is a...GIRL!! She is very healthy and is going to be a big baby, weighing in at 11 ounces right now.

The due date is still August 27th so everyone needs to start coming up with names because we are having a hard time thinking of something. When we have some good names we'll put up a poll to see what everyone likes.

Our New House

As some of you may have heard, we purchased a new home back in January. It is a great feeling to know we no longer have to throw our money away by renting. The house is in Gilbert, which is south east of Phoenix. It is a four bedroom, two and half bath. The house was built in 2005 and is in decent shape. Our first order of business is to get the backyard landscaped. As of right know it is a nice patch of dirt. We are thinking of making it our little tropical paradise. Of course I wish I could do everything myself but with the lack of time and my limited experience with landscaping I think I will leave it to the professionals. Luckily Steph’s mom knows a guy. With a little luck I hope we will have a backyard soon, and of course I will post an update when it is finished.
